Our Policies

The following is the text of our service contract, which is signed by both the Client and a representative of Petcetera (which is always Heather).  Please direct questions to info@petceterapetservices.com

Petcetera Pet Services, LLC – Service Contract
The parties hereto agree to the following:

 

I.     The term Petcetera Pet Services, LLC as used herein refers to the officers, owners, principals, employees, and subcontractors of the company known as Petcetera Pet Services, LLC, and its authorized representatives.

 

II.     Client agrees to contact Petcetera Pet Services, LLC, at the phone number or email address above, 3 days prior to departure in order to confirm their travels plans and verify the service dates.

 

III.     Client agrees to pay Petcetera Pet Services, LLC the total fee for the services to be rendered prior to or on the first day of service. A 72-hour advance notice is required for cancellations in order to receive a full credit towards future services. Any cancellation made within 72 hours will not be refunded. Any reduction of service length or scope must be made 72 hours prior to the first day of said services. Any requested reduction of services made with less than 72-hour advance notice will not be honored, and the cost of care for those days will not be refunded. All credited pet care expires within a six-month period. Unplanned visits are subject to an additional charge of $5 per visit.

 

IV.     Weekly dog-walking services require 4 hours minimal notice of cancellation in order to receive a credit towards the next appointment.

 

V.     Client attests that only Petcetera Pet Services, LLC will provide pet sitting services for Client’s pet(s) during the contracted period of care. Client agrees to notify Petcetera Pet Services, LLC of any other individuals allowed access to the premises during the time of contracted care. This includes cleaning services, maintenance personnel, friends, family, and neighbors. It is understood that the Client will notify anyone with access to the home that the services of Petcetera Pet Services, LLC have been engaged. Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Petcetera Pet Services, LLC in the case where multiple individuals have access to the premises.

 

VI.     This contract authorizes Petcetera Pet Services, LLC to enter the Client’s home to provide the services listed herein. A final invoice will be sent to the Client, at the end of the contracted period, by email (or US mail if requested) outlining the services provided and the outstanding balance, if any, to be paid. Invoices for weekly dog-walking services will be sent at the end of each week of contracted service.

 

VII.     Upon Client’s request to provide services in the future, Client agrees that this contract shall be renewed or extended in its entirety, without further written authorization. The term of said renewal shall coincide with the services dates as listed on the most recent of an email confirmation or an invoice.

 

VIII.     Petcetera Pet Services, LLC agrees to provide the services stated herein in a reliable and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services, and as an express condition thereof, the Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Petcetera Pet Services, LLC.

 

IX.     Prior to the first day of service, Client agrees to inspect and secure home and property of any possible hazards to the pet(s). Client agrees to assume responsibility for damage to any area of the home or property to which pet(s) have or gain access while under the care of Petcetera Pet Services, LLC, as well as any injury to the pet(s) caused by said hazards.

 

X.     Client authorizes Petcetera Pet Services, LLC to perform pet care and or services as outlined herein and in the most recent Pet Profile and Client Profile on file with Petcetera Pet Services, LLC.

 

XI.     Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Petcetera Pet Services, LLC including but not limited to fines, injury, death, or disappearance in the case of any and all pets allowed unsupervised access to the outdoors.

 

XII.     If the pet(s) become ill while under the care of Petcetera Pet Services, LLC, and medical care is needed in the best judgment of Petcetera Pet Services, LLC, Client authorizes Petcetera Pet Services, LLC to transport the pet(s) to Client’s veterinarian (or one who is available). Client authorizes Petcetera Pet Services, LLC to approve any emergency treatment recommended by said veterinarian when the cost of treatment is within the limits authorized in a Veterinarian Release Form. Client authorizes Petcetera Pet Services, LLC to take the Client’s pet(s) to anEmergency Clinic for Animals when the Clients veterinarian is not immediately available. Client further agrees to promptly reimburse Petcetera Pet Services, LLC for any expenses incurred for emergency treatment. Client releases Petcetera Pet Services, LLC from any and all liabilities related to transportation, treatment, and expense resulting from emergencies. Client recognizes that Petcetera Pet Services, LLC cannot be held responsible for injury or death of pet(s) related to veterinary treatment.

 

XIII.     Client assumes responsibility for and agrees to reimburse Petcetera Pet Services, LLC in the event that the Client’s pet(s) physically harm a representative of Petcetera Pet Services, LLC or any other individual. Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Petcetera Pet Services, LLC in the event of a claim by an individual injured by the Client’s pet(s).

 

XIV.     Client agrees to reimburse Petcetera Pet Services, LLC for the purchase of materials necessary for the satisfactory performance of duties, and for any emergency expenses incurred resulting there from.

 

XV.     Client agrees to reimburse Petcetera Pet Services, LLC, at the hourly rate of $32 for unplanned trips to the pet supply store and/or any additional time required to obtain supplies or to handle emergencies.

 

XVI.     In the event of incompatibility, personal emergency, illness, injury, or unforeseen unavailability on the part of Petcetera Pet Services, LLC, Client authorizes Petcetera Pet Services, LLC to arrange for another qualified individual to fulfill the responsibilities set forth in this contract, or, to arrange for alternative care of Client’s pet(s).

 

XVII.     If Client is delayed in returning home, Client agrees to notify Petcetera Pet Services, LLC of such delay, and agrees to pay Petcetera Pet Services, LLC for any additional visits required until their return.

 

XVIII.     Client agrees to pay Petcetera Pet Services, LLC for the regular per visit or daily rate of additional, necessary or unnecessary, visits are made due to Client failing to notify Petcetera Pet Services, LLC upon their return home.

XIX.     Petcetera Pet Services, LLC agrees to provide the services stated herein in a timely manner and will attempt to strictly adhere to the times of service desired by the Client. Client acknowledges that Petcetera Pet Services, LLC may at times deviate from the desired schedule due to emergency or other obstacles.

 

XX.     Inclement Weather: Client entrusts Petcetera Pet Services, LLC to use best judgment in caring for the Client’s pets(s) and home at the time of inclement weather. Petcetera Pet Services, LLC will try to carry out the Client’s instructions to the best of Petcetera Pet Services, LLC ability. Customer selection of a nearby emergency contact has been requested.

 

a.     1) Every effort will be made to drive to the Client’s home; 2) The service schedule may be changed, interrupted, or altered due to circumstances; 3) If is not possible to drive safely to the Client’s home, the Client’s emergency contact will be notified, 4) Client will be notified that the above-mentioned contingency plan has been activated.

b.     Petcetera Pet Services, LLC has requested the name and phone number of a person living nearby (with access to the Client’s home). This should be a person close enough to walk to the Client’s home if roads are impassable (for example, a neighbor). If we are physically unable to drive to the Client’s home this information is needed so that we can contact this person to request their assistance to check on your pet(s). Please remember that garage door openers are not operational in the event of power outages. In the event that the customer does not provide a nearby emergency contact with access to your home for Petcetera Pet Services, LLC, client realizes that Petcetera Pet Services, LLC will provide service but not until conditions allow us to reach the Client’s home safely.

 

XXI.     This contract is for the total number of visits, and the total cost, listed in the invoice and shall be extended or renewed upon Client’s request to provide services in the future as outlined in article 6 above. No additional fees, except as noted herein, shall be levied.

 

XXII.     Upon Client’s request, dogs will not be walked less than 15 feet from any other person or animal, or near the road or other hazardous terrain. Client acknowledges that any and all pets requiring supervised access to the outdoors must be handled on a leash or harness unless the premises is secure and void of animals or persons not related to the pet(s). Petcetera Pet Services, LLC has the right to use a standard leash on all dogs in their care.

 

XXIII.     Client attests that all pets requiring a rabies vaccination that are not exempt due to health reasons are up to date and agrees to provide Petcetera Pet Services, LLC with a copy of or access to current veterinary records stating the date of the most recent vaccinations.

 

XXIV.     Client hereby grants Petcetera Pet Services, LLC permission to use their pet’s likeness in a photograph in any and all of its publications, including website entries, without payment or any other consideration. Client understands and agrees that these materials will become property of Petcetera Pet Services, LLC.

 

XXV.     Client acknowledges that any vehicle driven by a representative of Petcetera Pet Services, LLC may be equipped with advertisements including the business name and agrees to allow this vehicle to park on or near the site of services (i.e. home, office, etc).

 

XXVI.     In the event that Client’s pet(s) requires the administration of medication, including but not limited to pills, eye drops, and insulin injections, Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Petcetera Pet Services, LLC the case of illness or death of the pet(s).

 

 

XXVII.     Key Policy: It is generally preferable for Petcetera Pet Services, LLC to retain of copy of clients’ house-keys. We have found it best to pick up your keys at the introductory meeting, and then store them permanently in our lockbox, coded for identification (no name or address stored with the key). If a sitter must make a special trip for the primary purpose of picking up or dropping off a key the normal hourly rate of $32 will be applied. If a client opts to leave keys in a previously established secure location, but the key is not there when we arrive, an hourly rate of $32.00 is charged for time required gaining access to home. Any locksmith charges are also to be paid by the client.

 

XXVIII.     Holiday Policy: Client recognizes and agrees to pay an additional fee of $5.00 per visit for services rendered on New Year’s Eve, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas day. A 50% deposit is required to reserve holiday services. Cancellations for holiday services must be made 14 days prior the first date of service to receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations for holiday services made after 14 days will result in a 50% credit towards the client’s next period of service. Cancellations for holiday services made with less than 72-hour notice will not be honored, and the 50% deposit will not be returned.

 

XXIX.     Client agrees to pay Petcetera Pet Services, LLC for services rendered with cash or a check made payable to Petcetera Pet Services, LLC. Client agrees to pay Petcetera Pet Services, LLC for any and all fees incurred by returned checks.

 

XXX.     The inaugural term of this contract shall be from _________________________ until revoked in writing. Petcetera Pet Services, LLC reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time without prior notice. Any changes or amendments to this contract can be made at any time without prior notice. Rates and services are subject to change without prior notice.

 

The Client fully understands the contents of this contract and agrees to prepay the total fees for services stated herein, and to pay any additional charges due when the service has been completed. In the event any part of this contract shall be determined to be invalid it shall have no bearing on any other part of this contract.
